My heart has joined the thousand, for my friend stopped running today....

Sadly not every cloud has a silver lining, and we loose some of these precious souls. But they will never be forgotten in the time spent with us. Here are some photo's of those we've had to say goodbye to. (Rescue Only)

Dot (grey) and Mia (black) came to us in a litter of six. They were unwanted. They had so much love to give, to each other and to anybody else. They were a joy to care for, and we'll never forget them.

When moving to a new foster home both girls came in contact with VHD! Which is a deadly disease and they were pts. We only hope their end was not as painful as it could have been.

The foster mom they were moving in to had decided to adopt, so at least they knew home before the end, and at least they're with each other at the bridge.

Harley was one of the origonal rabbits that started the rescue. He came with Kira, Snowy, Tylor and Honey. He was mistaken for a female and was kept with Kira and Honey. Luckily only Honey was pregnant and had babies two weeks after arrival. He was always quite a shy bun, but near the end he had grown to enjoy his cuddles and his baths.

Two weeks before he passed on we noticed him walking funny with his hind legs. We brought him inside and the next day he was disabled. We were at a mystery as to why. He was taken to the vets and they offered a variety of tests. One of which was for him to be x-rayed. He had gotten worse by the end of the week, though still had a bit of fight left in him. Sadly though as he went under the anaesthesia he just did not come back. We were devastated. Then when we returned we find that the bad weather had caused a shed's roof to come off at Honey's new home (the bunny he had impregnanted/used to live with) died due to a heart attack. Their three daughters and son live on quite happily but sadly this loving pair ended up rejoining each other at the bridge.
